Tin foil is the most widely used in daily life. Is it the same as aluminum foil? What is the difference between tin foil and aluminum foil? It is worth affirming that tin foil is different from aluminum foil.
1、 Tin foil:
The color of the tin foil is silver white, and the ash is golden after burning. Its main components are tin and aluminum, which are alloys of tin and aluminum; Its conductivity and thermal conductivity are very good. It can also be made into a lampshade to make the lamp brighter.
Tin foil has good heat insulation, good smoothness and heat reflection.
2、 Aluminum foil paper:
Because of its excellent characteristics, aluminum foil is widely used in food, beverages, cigarettes, drugs, photographic plates, household goods, etc., and is usually used as its packaging material; Electrolytic capacitor materials; Thermal insulation materials for buildings, vehicles, ships, houses, etc; It can also be used as decorative gold and silver thread, wallpaper, and decoration trademarks of various stationery prints and light industrial products.
1. Thickness
Aluminum foil can be divided into thick foil, single zero foil and double zero foil.
① Thick foil: foil with thickness of 0.1 ~ 0.2mm.
② Single zero foil: foil with thickness of 0.01mm and less than 0.1mm.
③ Double zero foil: double zero foil refers to the aluminum foil whose thickness is mm and there are two zero foils after the decimal point. Usually, the thickness is less than 0.01, that is, 0.005~0.009mm aluminum foil.
2. Shape
Aluminum foil can be divided into roll aluminum foil and sheet aluminum foil according to its shape. Most of the aluminum foil deep-processing wool is supplied in rolls, and only a few handicraft packaging occasions use sheet aluminum foil.
Aluminum foil can be divided into hard foil, semi hard foil and soft foil according to the state.
① Hard foil: aluminum foil without softening treatment after rolling. When it is not degreased, there is residue on the surface. Therefore, the hard foil must be degreased before printing, laminating and coating. If it is used for molding processing, it can be used directly.
② Semi hard foil: the hardness (or strength) of aluminum foil between hard foil and soft foil, which is usually used for molding processing.
③ Soft foil: aluminum foil that is completely annealed and softened after rolling is soft, and the surface is free of residual oil. Soft foils are used in most applications, such as packaging, composites, electrical materials, etc.
3. Surface condition
Aluminum foil can be divided into single-sided light aluminum foil and double-sided light aluminum foil.
① Single side bright aluminum foil: double rolled aluminum foil, with bright side and dark side after rolling. The thickness of single-sided gloss aluminum foil usually does not exceed 0.025mm.
② Double sided aluminum foil: single rolled aluminum foil, both sides of which are in contact with the roll. Due to the different surface roughness of the roll, both sides of the aluminum foil are divided into mirror double sided aluminum foil and ordinary double sided aluminum foil. The thickness of double-sided gloss aluminum foil is generally not less than 0.01mm.
4. Processing status
Aluminum foil can be divided into plain foil, embossed foil, composite foil, coated foil, colored foil and printed foil.
① Plain foil: aluminum foil that is not processed after rolling, also known as light foil.
② Embossed foil: aluminum foil with various patterns pressed on the surface.
③ Composite foil: aluminum foil is bonded with paper, plastic film and paperboard to form composite aluminum foil.
④ Coated foil: aluminum foil coated with various resins or paints.
⑤ Colored aluminum foil: aluminum foil with color on the surface.
⑥ Printed aluminum foil: aluminum foil forming various patterns, patterns, words or pictures on the surface can be one color, up to 12 colors.
Soft aluminum foil can also be further pressed into 40 foil for high-end decoration.
The utensils used in the microwave oven under cooking conditions cannot use metal and enamel products, because the metal has a reflection effect on the microwave. It not only reduces the heating efficiency of the microwave oven and the heating uniformity is poor, but also makes the microwave contact with metal to produce sparks, which is dangerous, and even damages the magnetron in serious cases.
Tin foil can reflect microwaves. If we cook food that takes a long time, we can use a small amount of tin foil to wrap the easy cooked food. After cooking for a while, remove the tin foil and continue cooking, so that the food can be cooked more evenly. However, when using it, the smooth part should be close to the food to reduce the reflected energy. It is OK to use the barbecue function, because there is no microwave component.
If you use tin foil in a large area, you can't. If used, because the microwave oven has high energy, the electrons in metal substances are extremely active. When it reaches a certain degree, it will discharge and produce sparks or flashes. Tin foil is also a metal substance, which can also reflect microwaves. If we cook food that takes a long time, we can use a small amount of tin foil to wrap the easy cooked part.
In summer, if the roof is covered with reflective materials like tin foil, 60% of the direct sunlight problem can be basically solved. The rest is to consider that the metal reflective film itself will become very hot, and the heat will continue to be transferred to the floor.
If this layer of reflective film is overhead and an air circulation layer of 150-200mm is reserved between the film and the floor, the effect will be very good.
Tin foil paper has good smoothness and heat reflection. With the protection of tin foil paper, the taste of cigarettes will not be stimulated by the outside world and lose its flavor. More importantly, it will not be affected by the humidity of the air and the environment, and the cut tobacco in cigarettes will not deteriorate, making their shelf life longer! In addition, there are thermal insulation and aesthetic factors. So there are layers of platinum paper inside the cigarette box.
Tin foil can also be used for barbecue. Wrapped in the outer layer of food, it ripens quickly and has a strong fragrance, which is not easy to get cold. There is usually a layer of tin foil outside the roast lamb leg in a restaurant.
